Lechi Museum of Montichiari
Luigi and Piero Lechi are descendants of generals to Napoleon and avid art collectors. In May 2005 they have decided to donate their collection of 185 pieces of art work and the Museum took their name.
The museum -hosted at Palazzo Tabarino - is made of 14 rooms, displaying paintings, prints and porcelains. The main focus is on paintings of the XV and XVII centuries among which the most notable are those by Alessandro Bonvicino, also known as Moretto, and Giacomo Ceruti, better known as Pitocchetto.
At Luigi Lechi’s death all his collection was transferred to the Museum, which now counts over 350 artworks.
