Gardaland
Amusement Park
Gardaland is the largest amusement park in Italy (200,000 m²), just a few steps from Lake Garda.
All children (and adults) dream of spending at least one day in this park and trying out the 37 attractions that distinguish it, divided into thematic areas: Burma, Atlantis, Hawaii, Egypt, the Middle East, China, the Far West, Middle Ages, Space, Cartoons and Pirates.
The history of the park begins in 1971 when Livio Furini, impressed by Disneyland in California, bought the land to build a similar park in Italy. However, the inauguration came in July 1975, with "only" 21 attractions in a 9,000 m2 park. The boundaries of the park when it opens are now traced by the TransGardaland Express, the panoramic train that at the time ran along the entire perimeter of the park.
