During the afternoon we will be in Franciacorta, where we’ll visit the Abbazia Olivetana di San Nicola in Rodengo Saiano, the most important monastic site of the area, founded on the XI century by Cluniac Monks.  In the refectory we will also be able to admire some frescoes by the great local painter Romanino.
Finally we will relax in a wine farm, where we will have the chance to taste some of the most renowned wines of Franciacorta, alongside food from this area rich with traditions.

Day 3 – Garda hills by bike

Today we will ride our bikes and explore the Valtenesi, in the South-West of Lake Garda. The landscape of this area is simply marvellous! We will pass through fields and vineyards, to finally reach typical villages of historical and artistic value and from time to time we will stop to admire the unparalleled view of the lake.

Later in the afternoon we will relax in the famous Thermal Spa, swimming in a warm swimming pool with views of the lake.

Day 6 – Dolomites

The Dolomites offer some of the most incredible mountain landscapes in the world, and for this reason in 2009 UNESCO included them in the list of World Heritage Sites

We will ascend the mountains by foot or cable car, to reach one of the many typical mountain taverns and enjoy the special view of the breath-taking local peaks and valleys, which stretch as far as eye can see.

Day 7 – Verona

We will enjoy a morning of rest, and after lunch we will head towards Verona, where we will visit the setting of Romeo and Juliet’s tragedy and the monuments of the period in which the city was ruled by the Signoria degli Scala. In Piazza Brà – at the very heart of Verona – we will also be able to admire one of the best preserved amphitheatres in Europe: the Arena.

During our goodbye dinner in Montichiari, we will taste typical local products, such as the famous Pumpkin Tortelli, and the unmissable braised and roasted meats accompanied by the ever-present polenta.
